It means the name was chosen deliberately because of its “Americanness” either because the owner’s positive feelings towards America or to exploit that of the town folk (even better). On the other hand if it was the real KFC, it could just be that some one is simply trying to make a buck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-55670584236601921212008-07-20T05:21:00.000-07:002008-07-20T05:21:00.000-07:00Ummmmm. Liberal democratic governments and al Qaeda's ass in a sling mean nothing without pulled pork and fall-off-the-bone-meaty ribs. One taste of all-day hickory smoked, bourbon soaked pork and Jesus appears before your eyes and smacks you for even looking at a Koran.edwnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-20784082971496731852008-07-19T11:30:00.000-07:002008-07-19T11:30:00.000-07:00It's cool that KFC opened in Fallujah, but I don't...It's cool that KFC opened in Fallujah, but I don't know if I'd eat there. In most parts of the world I've been, including Latin America, KFC has maintained their image fairly consistantly. In this one, the staff do not have uniforms, there are no cash registers or overhead menus. Is it possible this is a local knock off?Timhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00683162049823277775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-47309620083595086602008-07-19T10:43:00.000-07:002008-07-19T10:43:00.000-07:00That was a great indicator that the war is over. It is an indication of a certain level of safety, cultural openess, and a legitimate government regulation, plus a population on the move.

Fastfood indicates people on the go, in a hurry. And kids everywhere love Mcdonalds. Including temper tantrums if they don't get their way when it is to crowded to get in and its 20 below! Yeah, lines outside of McD's in Russia in the Freezing Cold! Crazy like Star Wars. I should've taken pictures. I never eat there except when abroad, lol, when in need for some form of familiar home life.

Finger licking victory, lol... I wonder if the old Colonel ever envisioned his chicken recipes going to Babylon?

Hope they are succesful with many buckets sold!Joshuanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-62440978141237791252008-07-19T09:48:00.000-07:002008-07-19T09:48:00.000-07:00It's great that Fallujah is safe enough now for an...It's great that Fallujah is safe enough now for an American fast food franchise to open there.

God bless the owner and his employees with success and safety for trying to earn an honest living.

But does it have to be KFC?
