But... The Iranian Cultural Minister forgot to include the sex trends at home.

The Iranian blogger Harfehesab [Persian], looks at the Google search trends in the holy city of Qom, for sex-related terms.
Qom is the capital city of Shia Islam and the religious capital city of Iran. The city’s Jamkaran Mosque has recently become the spot to submit letters to Mehdi [the Islamic Messiah] and where the government gets its religious backing [not exact translation]. Therefore, the administration pushes very hard to present the city in a holy and Islamic way. However, a close look at the Internet activity of the city reveals that something else is going on in the city.
The blogger then gives a list of ten sex-related terms and shows how Google Trends reveals that Qom is the top Iranian location where these terms are looked up in Google.
Thank goodness those Iranian mullahs are able to keep their sexual urges in check.

In June, 2002 Iranian authorities approved a law raising the age at which girls can marry without parental consent from 9 to 13. The elected legislature actually passed the bill in 2000, but the "Guardian Council", a 12-man body of conservative clerics, vetoed it as contradicting Islamic Sharia law. Iran's clerical establishment insists that the marriage of young girls is a means to combat immorality. The Expediency Council, which arbitrates between the elected parliament and the theocratic Guardian Council, timidly passed the measure. The law however does not change the age at which children can get married (nine for girls and 14 for boys), but says that girls below the age of 13 and boys younger than 15 need their parents' permission and the approval of a "Righteous Court." Reformists state that the new law does not protect children, since most of those who marry at such a young age do so by force.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite common in Iran for older men to marry children, as long as they pay the appropriate bride-price to the girl's family. This basically means that a father can sell his daughter to whomever he wants, whilst the mad mullahs see this as a means of maintaining purity. We prefer to call this child prostitution and rape, especially given that Iran's clerics approve of the 'tradition' of 'temporary marriage' (Mut'a), which can last less than 24 hours and may be repeated as many times as desired. This form of exploitation is widespread and legitimises sex with young children. The man may even visit his temporary wife every weekend at her

I don't disagree at all that the West is sexually perverted, but I can tell you from 1st hand accounts that Muslims do partake in homosexual activities if no female is available. This went on sadly to say in the Green Zone among some of the Iraqis assisting the U.S., such as translators, etc. It isn't wide spread, but to point the finger at the West for being perverted is hypocritical.
ReplyDeleteI recall Iran recently passing a law, based on Shirah law, that allowed for temporary marriges, which is essentially legalizing sexual immorality under the guise of religion. I find that just as disgusting if not more because it's wrapped in the sacntity of religion.
I'm sure I've read the people - men and women - in Iranian prisons are raped, so this must mean some men on men action used as punishment for prisoners - or is it; maybe some of the male guards get a little action in prison as a reward to themselves.
ReplyDeleteThe West is depraved - it is true; we are certainly going down the drain, but to say the West is depraved and not acknowledge how totally screwed up the Koran is when it comes to sexuality is just wacked. Any religion that sanctions men having sex with children and/or goats/sheep has nothing to brag about.
The Iranian government are idiots! Being gay is not western product. According to history, it's the western world who was homophobic. Eastern world (like China dan MOSLEM world) was very tolerant of homosexuality.
ReplyDeleteIt's said that Catholic missionaries went to eastern world and was shocked seeing homosexuality in China dan MOSLEM worlds and condemned them. Feeling embarassed and angry, those countries began eradicating homosexuality. Yet somehow, the western world evolved and accepted homosexuality, While the eastern world become smore and more hostile.
I dont know who to blame? The Catholics for spreading homophobia? Or the fanatic moslems?
Iranian people are very idiots. Gays also exist in moslem world! In Indonesia dan Malaysia, gay men are fucking around esp via internet. Even in Iran, gays exist but they are living under danger coz they would be hanged to death.
The world is laughing at the Iranian stupidity.
