Guess This Racist's Political Party...
Guess which
political party the racist who
said this belongs to:
James D. Watson, 79, co-discoverer of the DNA helix and winner of the 1962 Nobel Prize in medicine, told the Sunday Times of London that he was “inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa” because “all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours — whereas all the testing says not really.”
He recognized that the prevailing belief was that all human groups are equal, but that “people who have to deal with black employees find this not true.”

ReplyDeleteyes!! i heard what he had to say on the radio the other day.. what a nut (something all Dems, especially Savior Jimmah, seem to have something in common with lol)..
but why the deafening SILENCE?? are not the equality at any cost Democrats offended?? how about Sharpton or Jesse?? and where is the 'Fiery Orator' (translation = "Do you want me, as the voice of the honorable Elijah Muhammad, and really a voice of God, to ask our people to retaliate in matters of the flame? A life for a life? Is that what you are driving us to?") Farrakhan??

ReplyDeleteupdate..
Lab suspends scientist Watson over comments on race..

Well first and foremost is what Dr. Watson said actually racist?
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that my initial gut feeling was, "this is a crazy statement from someone I would expect better of!"...
When I consider the following three examples who are real heros of mine: Walter E. Williams, Thomas Sowell, and most importantly to me at least George Washington Carver I was even more incensed...
Then I had to wonder considering the inane actions of the Congressional Black Caucus or a Jesse Jackson if maybe just maybe if Dr. Watson might not have a small point...
I wouldn't question Dr. Watson's viewpoint on genetics (who actually accomplished something important to win his Nobel prize) but I still find it hard to swallow...
Note what Dr. Watson is saying: Without referring directly to the subject of racial differences, Dr Watson once more invokes the idea that Darwinian natural selection has led to differences in behavioural ability between people from different geographical regions of the world
"We do not yet adequately understand the way in which the different environments in the world have selected over time the genes which determine our capacity to do different things," he says. "The overwhelming desire of society today is to assume that equal powers of reason are a universal heritage of humanity.
"It may well be. But simply wanting this to be the case is not enough. This is not science. To question this is not to give in to racism. This is not a discussion about superiority or inferiority, it is about seeking to understand differences, about why some of us are great musicians and others great engineers"

ReplyDeletethanks juandos..
albeit on a different plane, i believe Lawrence H. Summers was more or less trying to point out the man / woman divide (we are different no matter what anyone tries to shove down our throats), and look what they did to him..

ReplyDeleteps: not that Darwin's or Watson's THEORIES aren't fallible..

Hey bg...
ReplyDeleteYour comment: "i believe Lawrence H. Summers was more or less trying to point out the man / woman divide (we are different no matter what anyone tries to shove down our throats), and look what they did to him" is totally descriptive of what a corrosive atmosphere the libtards with their politically correct crapola have foisted off in academia and maybe American life in general that even stating something that is painfully obvious has downside consequences...
I mean imagine what would happen if some gal in the reverse of today's politically correct atmosphere were to say that, "women can stand more physical stress than men" and guys regardless of the factualness of that statement would've risen up and condemned the gal for stating a known fact...
Regarding your last statement bg about both Darwin and Watson well, not being a beliver in the word for word biblical description of creation tend to give some credence to the theories to Darwin and Watson until a better explanation comes along and can stand the test of the scientific method...

ReplyDeletemy opinions have nothing to do with anything "biblical".. it's common sense & research..
i have faith that science will evolve far enough back to the future and discover that God made all living things.. :)

I'm sorry to tell you folks this but Watson is correct:
ReplyDeleteInequality
Smart Fraction Theory
Smart Fraction Theory II
This getting down on Watson is just another example of PC inflamed by Angry Studies without respect for facts.
Suppose I said whites are discriminated against in football? Would you buy it? There are differences in ability and they correlate with race. Now tell me why such differences are impossible with respect to intelligence?
How can it be racist to tell the truth? I don't get it.
Gateway. How did you fall for it?
If we don't deal with reality as it is how in the heck do we expect to find solutions?
On top of that the rest of the commenters are equally ignorant.
And the commenter who brings up Thomas Sowell. Very bright guy. But you have to look at the number of very bright guys vs population if you want to know the truth.
The best we can do is judge every one as an individual. That does nothing to change averages.
Look at Jews. .2% of the worlds population. How many Fields Medals? Quite a few. Blacks are at least 10% of the worlds population. How many Fields Medals. None.
That is population genetics folks. And at this point in time there is nothing we can do about it.
Let me rephrase that.
ReplyDeleteSome of the commenters are equally ignorant.
I should read before I rant.
Otherwise I stand by my statements.

ReplyDeletei was mostly being sarcastic..
regardless, what the Doc said, the way he said it at the time, he sounded nuts to me..
yes, there are a lot of factors.. it's easy to state what the truth is when you've had the best of both worlds.. and then there are the oppressed & uneducated with little chance to improve due to lack of opportunity.. but what do i know, i don't have any degrees that give me the authority to state anything.. heck, i didn't even graduate from high school.. so call me dumb (prefer ducky though lol), no sweat off my back.. ;)
ps: i don't think it's racist to tell the truth, but one better be dang certain they can prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt..
i can tell you one thing for sure, i know there are a lot of people of many races who are a heck of a lot more intelligent than i am..
but exactly what defines intelligent anyways??
imho, one can have all the intelligence in the world & still not know how to boil water..
thanks, that was fun.. :D
