Iranian Naval Commander Promises a Wave of Suicide Bombings

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Commander told his troops to model themselves after the young 13 year-old suicide bomber and national hero, Hossein Fahmideh.

Hossein Fahmideh laid down in front of an Iraqi tank with a grenade belt during the Iran-Iraq War and was made a national hero.

Fars News and IMRA reported:

General Ali Fadavi noted IRGC's various plans for upgrading the combat abilities of the Basiji (volunteer) troops in naval warfare, and said, "The number of Basiji troops is not important in these plans; what matters is their qualitative presence because everyone of them can do a great job."

He declined to provide any further details on the specific role of the Basiji troops in possible engagement with enemy forces in the Persian Gulf, but said that each of them can play the role of martyr Fahmideh.

Hossein Fahmideh was a 13-year-old volunteer who blew up an enemy tank during a martyrdom-seeking operation in the midst of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).

Due to a lack of RPG rockets and the sensitive formation of enemy tanks, Fahmideh wrapped himself in a grenade belt and lied under the tank to blow it up.

The IRGC commander said that the aforementioned plans would be staged once enemies dare to attack the country.

"IRGC and Basij have started tight cooperation and the fruit of these plans will be observed when enemies grow so foolish that they embark on posing a threat to Iran in practice," he said.
UPDATE: Jules Crittenden has more on the regime.

  2. Here is what I find to be important about this. The IRGC is the group that Bush wants to list as a terrorist group. This is the same group that the Dems are attacking Hillary for voting to list as a terrorist group. They seem to think that doing so means a march to war. Meanwhile the IRGC is actually marching to war. This is another in a long line of endless acts of war that we simply ignore or overlook.

It is truly unbelievable how radical the Dems agenda has become and it is due to one man: George Soros. Soros believes that any saber rattling is inapprorpriate and the proper course of action is dialogue. He would have us talk with the IRGC. This is the man that is pulling the strings for the Democrats, and they follow him lock step.

This particular move by the Dems is one in a long line of moves in which their agenda crosses over with his.

It is truly scary that while this group commits another act of war, the Dems debate how best to control Bush from countering them.

We all need to recognize Soros and what he is doing to their party because if he buys the Presidency the country will move in a radical direction. The IRGC vote is just one example.

i totally agree.. in a sense, Soros is even more of a danger to the world than Islamofascism.. :(

Ayatollah's grandson calls for US overthrow of Iran

    excerpt:

["My grandfather's revolution has devoured its children and has strayed from its course," he told Al-Arabiya, an Arabic-language television station. "I lived through the revolution and it called for freedom and democracy - but it has persecuted its leaders."

He also made clear his opposition to Teheran's alleged development of a secret nuclear weapons programme. "Iran will gain real power if freedom and democracy develop there," he said. "Strength will not be obtained through weapons and the bomb."]

  4. George Soros is a war criminal. He was a Nazi collaborator and assissted the SS in rounding up Jews. He has also ruined whole economies by destroying the value of their currency. he almost brought down the Bank of England with his machinations and he is now trying to do the same thing to the Federal Reserve.

There is a very good reason why ol' Georgie won't go anywhere near places like the Ukraine and Georgia. He would be shot on sight.

What I would like to know is which Democrat sold him his "American citizenship". it would be very interesting to find out who it was. My guess is that the Democrats surname starts with a "K".

What Deep Throat said applies to this situation. "Follow the money".

  7. Hey bg, I can't help but get the impression that to be considered a geninus it doesn't hurt to be a liar and a pathological murderer in the eyes of some at the Telegraph...

Some of those clowns must be from the, "all values are equal" school of thoughtlesness...

    juandos, as in..

what the fascist left have been aiming for is to "equate" good with evil.. that's the only way they can appease their conscience in the face of the harsh reality they are trying to escape from because it does not fit in with their ideological utopian matrix.. if there is no good vs evil, then all is good even if the all is evil.. - bg

"George Soros is a war criminal. He was a Nazi collaborator and assissted the SS in rounding up Jews."

My favorite Soros quote is the one where he explains why he doesn't feel any remorse or guilt for rounding up other Jews and collecting their property.

I can't decide which is worse, a former SS officer who felt truly remorseful about his Nazi past, or Soros. I think it's worse to be Soros.
