Suzie at Assorted Babble has the latest on th Peter Paul trial against Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Here is a bit of the report on the trial from CNS News:
A California court ruled Tuesday that Hillary Clinton will not be a defendant in a fraud lawsuit brought by Hollywood mogul Peter Paul, who claimed the Clintons destroyed his business after he raised millions for her first Senate campaign in 2000. But she could still be a material witness and be required to testify about what she knew concerning alleged illegal campaign fundraising...Patterico notes that Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial lawyer David Kendall is representing Hillary in the California lawsuit and more.
However, Paul's lawsuit is still in play against the senator's husband, former President Bill Clinton, the Clintons' business associate Jim Levin, and Hollywood producer Gary Smith, who were all involved in a Hollywood fundraiser, orchestrated by Paul, for Sen. Clinton's first Senate run in 2000.
...In April, Paul obtained a videotape that showed the former first lady helping to plan the event, which Paul said would constitute an illegal in-kind contribution. Cybercast News Service first reported the existence of the tape in April.

ReplyDeleteAre you kidding, the MSM will never touch this, and it won't work its way through the courts until well after the election, and by the looks of it, Shrillary will be POTUS by then and untouchable.
ReplyDeleteThat outright campaign finance laws have been so blatantly broken by her, with the proof on tape means nothing to the media who will do its job to stash it away and make sure it never sees the light of day.
Yeah a bunch of bloggers might read about it, and they may make a big deal about it, but the MSM will downplay the whole affair and smear Paul in the process.

ReplyDeleteWhat apparently is more important to the press is that Hillary is raising more money than any of her competitors. There is no interest in how she is doing so, but between Peter Paul and Norman Hsu, one starts to wonder how much of her fundraising is illegal.

Yes, she will be grilled in her deposition. It is going to be shown that she turned in a false declaration to the court and has orchestrated a coverup that eclipses Watergate.

ReplyDeleteSure give it some coverage. Fine with me. Now, if the trial goes forth and Clinton loses, that'd be a story. But right now, it's just a guy with his panties in a wad. Do you know how many times Bush has been sued? Who cares about that either.

Dishwashers, waiters and others whose jobs and dilapidated home addresses seem to make them unpromising targets for political fundraisers are pouring $1,000 and $2,000 contributions into Clinton's campaign treasury. In April, a single fundraiser in an area long known for its gritty urban poverty yielded a whopping $380,000. When Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) ran for president in 2004, he received $24,000 from Chinatown.
At this point in the presidential campaign cycle, Clinton has raised more money than any candidate in history. Those dishwashers, waiters and street stall hawkers are part of the reason. And Clinton's success in gathering money from Chinatown's least-affluent residents stems from a two-pronged strategy: mutually beneficial alliances with powerful groups, and appeals to the hopes and dreams of people now consigned to the margins.

For people who are apparently omnipotent I'd like to remind you that this country has a legal system for a reason: To prove the guilt or innocence of the accused. How about letting the court, not your kangaroo court, deal with facts, not your concocted gossip, and come to the proper conclusion about this issue? YOU ARE REALLY SCARY PEOPLE.

I was a color-mixer at Berkshire Handscreened Wallpapers, the small compnay that was set up to print that paper and then disappeared. I watched the job go down the tubes and the money, $200,000 of the $400,000 was for that single print run alone.
I did not even see that reference to the wallpaper because I was not reading the NYT in 1993, I was fighting for my life.
There are half a dozen deaths related to Hillary Clinton's cult all across Massachusetts, from 1981 right up through 2000.
