Rioting Continues in Western Amsterdam

After the shooting death of a knife-wielding Moroccan youth at a police station, local residents in Western Amsterdam have torched cars and rioted each night this week.

The Moroccan youth, Bilal Bajaka, an associate of the Hofstad terrorist gang, was shot dead after he attacked two police officers inside an Amsterdam police station with a knife on Sunday.

HERE is a short Dutch video of the latest torchings.

Outside the police station things were heated after the young Moroccan youth and knife attacker was shot dead by the female police officer. (Telegraaf)

The Earthtimes reported today that the torchings continued last night:

Amsterdam - Unidentified young people set another car on fire in the night from Thursday to Friday during the fourth consecutive night of riots in Amsterdam's Slotervaart neighbourhood. The rioting was substantially less than the previous night. No arrests were made but police remained on high alert.

The unrest began after two violent incidents took place in Slotervaart, in the western part of Amsterdam, last week. Both times young Moroccan Dutch were involved.

In the latest incident on October 14, 22-year-old Bilal Bajaka attacked two police officers at a police station with a knife. One of them pulled her gun and shot her attacker, who died on the spot.
Blogger Klein Verzet has several updates on the continuing violence including this:

Last evening the police for the first time arrest 8 "youths" preventively (Update: five of them are already released as I write this). Three of them were caught in a car full of jerry cans filled with gasoline. Thus today the Moroccan organizations started to complain and said they are worried about proposals for tougher action and repression... I'm not joking, after car burnings in support of the Jihad, they still dare not to ask for the restoration of order but to demand more money!
Myrtus has a much different feel about these torchings.

  2. Will the policewoman that killed the assailant need to hide?
They are surely very pissed off!!!
A brave jihadist killed in action from a policewoman without to be able to kill any disbeliever.

What would happen if a single o a couple of policemen or policewomen are caught by a mob of rioters?
Will we see the same horror show we saw in the West Bank?

Clearly this is not Paris Burning" all over folks, so don't get too excited. ;D
Klein Verzet is a hater, he's just trying to rile things up totally blowing the headlines out of proportion. He wants to be at the front lines of "Amsterdam Burning" so bad, he's losing his mind over it.

Since Sunday a total of 7 cars have been set on fire. Minor riots broke out on Monday and Tuesday after the attacker's mother made false claims that started spreading like wild fire among the Slotervaart youth. She claimed that her son did not carry a knife when he left her house shortly before he went into the police station and that the police did not recover the knife which her son supposedly used to attack the police officers. Obviously she tried to make her baby look like a harmless little angel, but she knows full well that he was a psycho.

The latest car burnings were completely off-site, mere copy cats trying to make the headlines, probably just trying to keep hatemongers like Klein Verzet satisfied.:P

  5. Myrtus,

It would be so much braver, so much more forthright of you to come over to KV and engage Ferdy and me in open discussion. In setad of badmouthing KV behind our backs.

And in response to your observations: Am I to understand that you consider setting fire to other peoples cars in response to the shooting of a guy who stabbed two people, let alone two cops, is a perfectly normal reaction?

    Nuff said, in that case.

  6. "Klein Verzet is a hater"

Sort of like Bruce Bawer is a hater? Must be true, because a pattern of violence against "infidels" and gays and etc could never be sufficient reason for people to fear and distrust Muslim immigrants.

GWP thank you so much for the mention!

    @bg:
What people like you and the excessively biased Dutch media prefer to do is accuse the little hoodlums of being militant jihadis before they've even begun to identify themselves as anything but rebellious teenagers looking for thrills. It is attitudes like yours that will eventually send these little trouble makers right into the arms of Muslim terrorist in order to get a sense of community. All because you so desperately want to prove ourselves right, so in the end you can pat yourselves on the back yell, see I told you so!
Perhaps you forget that there are whole armies of Muslim militants who would like to turn the entire world into a caliphate and conquer western cities, and they're just loving it when you help strengthen their numbers with yet another new batch of recruits made out of Muslim outcasts basically thrown in their laps from the west. This works out perfectly for militant Islam because they are constantly being provided with valuable players who know their way around in Wertern civilization. Think about it for a minute.

Klein Verzet, I don't see why I would want to risk being dismissed as merely someone who's trolling your blog considering your hostile attitude towards "allochtonen" such as myslef, when I have the choice to expose you right here on this blog to a much larger audience, as the thrill seeker that you are, who loves to distort the facts and tell lies.

Of course my heart goes out to those two cops who got stabbed more than anything else. I feel for them not just merely because I strongly condemn the violence used against them while they're merely doing their job, but also out of a sense of camaraderie because I was a cop in Amsterdam myself at one time.

Tell me KV, why is it that not a single report (including that article you linked to) mentions the religious background of that Liberian family being chased out of town by two Dutch kids, except by you on your blog?

    You said:

"The Dutch de-escalation policy means that they don’t arrest Islamic youths, even not when they attack a police station in support of a suicide terrorist. But that does not mean that this also works the other way around. Today’s newspapers reports that two native Dutch boys were arrested for terrorized an Islamic family until they left their neighborhood. An event quite unique, never before I heard of an Islamic family being terrorized and driven out of a neighborhood in The Netherlands. There are many other reports of people being driven out of their own neighborhood involved native Dutch people who were under attack of "youths". But in all those instances never any arrest are reported."

What evidence can you present to prove that this Liberian family is actually Muslim?

@pst314, I personally have always been a big fan of Bruce Bawer. True he's very critical, but he does not distort the facts like your friend KV. We all should be critical, but there is no need to distort the facts to make things worse, because things are bad enough as it is.

  8. Myrtus,

Alright then. We fight it out here, in the open. With my apologies to our gracious host.

Klein Verzet, I don't see why I would want to risk being dismissed as merely someone who's trolling your blog considering your hostile attitude towards "allochtonen" such as myself.

One, you never even tried, did you? We've had enough people over dismissing us in the same turgid way you are trying to 'expose' us here. The funny thing is, after a couple of back-and-forths those usually go away and never come back. Out of arguments, apparently.

Second, have you even read the blog? Or did you just read something you did not agree with and made up the verdict 'hater' based on that anecdotal evidence? Because, if you had, you would have known we do not, and I repeat NOT, begrudge new arrivals their place in Dutch society.

Moreover, we have argued several times that the atrocious policy choices of Dutch politics now and in the past carry the risk of victimizing large numbers of nationalities and individuals within our borders, that have zero to do with our current troubles. Only because the muddled use of the word 'allochtone' in these discussions unjustly lumps them in with the more strident elements within islam that give rise to Dutch concerns. Guilty by association, sort of. And completely unjust.

But you wouldn't know that, because you didn't read any of it, did you?

Oh, and about that Liberian family: You may be right. The same issue was brought up in the comments (which you obviously didn't read either) and discussed there.

Whether the family was muslim or not has no bearing on point of the story, which is the contrast in governments behavior when muslims are the perpetrators (Diamantbuurt, remember that?) or when they are Dutch.

And while we're at it: How do you explain the harsh and total clamp down after the riots of Ondiep, relative to the Amsterdam authorities' painful lack of action or results in the Slotervaart riots?

And one last other thing: Why are moroccan punk-jihadis seeking thrills worthy of your sympathy, and us equally thrillseeking, according to you, not? Wouldn't have anything to do with their, or God forbid, our lily-white skin color, would it?

    Myrtus..

you are accusing me of me of being bias & unaware of the jihadist threat via the following??

[what are you saying.. jihadists will be jihadists??

and yes i agree, it's not Paris..

    well, not yet anyways.. :(]

    bwahahaha..

you are an appeasing excuse machine.. you're also obviously unaware that this is just one of many so called "youthful" incidents.. and as with Paris, not all reports (if any) are making the MSM headlines..

aside from that, and in case you haven't heard.. you're too late.. the global jihad is on.. hello??

Danes lives in fear, that's how the jihadists like it..

    excerpt:

[In April 15, 2005, five months before the cartoons ran, Palestinian preacher and leader of Hizb ut Tahrir (a radical group that works to establish the Caliphate), Sheikh Issam Amayra, from the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, called upon Muslims in Denmark to begin a holy war, according to his sermon translated from the Arabic by Jonathan Dahoah Halevi, director of Orient research Group in Toronto, Canada.

Amayra's sermon warned that: "…the three percent of the Muslims in Denmark constitute a threat to the future of the kingdom of Denmark. And that should not be a surprise. After all, the Muslims in Yathrib [the city of Medina, before Mohammed moved there from Mecca] constituted less than three percent of the population there. Yet they managed to change Yathrib into Medina. Thus, it should not be a surprise that our Danish brothers manage to bring Islam to all the homes of the Danes. Allah will grant them the victory in their country in order to raise the Caliphate in Denmark."]

oh btw.. they are not alone, expect the samo samo at a theatre near you at anytime in the near future..

You're right Klein Verzet, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have judged you so harshly based on that one post in my first encounter with your blog. I should have given you the benefit of the doubt and looked to see if there was a consistent pattern of you manipulating and exagerating the facts in your previous reports, but the fact still remains that you took the already extremely biased reporting from Dutch media on these latest incidents and stepped it up a few notches to shift the focus entirely on Moroccans and Muslim terrorism as a whole. You fail to see that all such tactics are good for is strengthen the army of jihadis.
