Bush Bashes MoveOn.org & Code Pink Protesters! (Video)

Ouch.
President George W. Bush finally blasted Democrats today for paying too much attention to their base and not enough attention to the requests of American generals.

Can you say- "Bully Pulpit?"

Although it may be tempting since Code Pink throws such nice parties, that still doesn't excuse Democrats from ignoring their responsibilities.

CODEPINK co-founder Gael Murphy and DC coordinator Allison Yorra award Congressman John Murtha with their highest honor, the Pink Badge of Courage, and thank him for his courageous stand on Iraq in 2006.

Bush blasts Code Pink & MoveOn.org:

** The entire video of the speech is HERE.

President George W. Bush laid out the democrats today in his speech Discussing the Global War on Terror at the Heritage Foundation.
The White House reported:

Congress also needs to pass the Department of Defense spending bill, as well as the funding bill for our nation's veterans. There are reports that congressional leaders may be considering combining the funding bills for our military and our veterans together with a bloated labor, health and education spending bill. It's hard to imagine a more cynical ploy than holding funding for our troops and our wounded warriors hostage in order to extract $11 billion in wasteful Washington spending. If the reports of this strategy are true, I will veto such a three-bill pileup. (Applause.)

I ask Congress to send me a clean veterans funding bill by Veterans Day; and to pass a clean defense spending bill. Congress needs to put the needs of those who put on the uniform ahead of their desire to spend more money.

When it comes to funding our troops, some in Washington should spend more time responding to the warnings of terrorists like Osama bin Laden and the requests of our commanders on the ground, and less time responding to the demands of MoveOn.org bloggers and Code Pink protesters. (Applause.)
The only thing that could have improved that speech is if he would have added this...
"And less time on Rush Limbaugh."

  1. Yes, it's refreshing and about time that he and his spokesmen take on the George Soros sponsored mouthpieces. The usual suspects are protesting too much.

Murtha is a total loser! Instead of wasting time with the loons at Code Pink, he should be working on the People's business! Wait! Mebbe this is a good thing -

ironically.. if we elect a Dem Prez in 08.. the first thing that is going to happen is all of the things Bush has been asking of them will become the imperatives they will seek to establish (plus a few of their own).. as they are fully aware of the fact that the Holy War AQ et al has declared on US & the free world is not going to magically cease to exist on Inauguration Day.. as a matter of fact.. if a Dem is elected, i am more than certain AQ et al will ramp it up five fold (albeit under the radar, not to mention the elite academic head of AQ et al, The Muslim Brotherhood Project dramatically advancing).. as AQ was more than content doing pre 9/11..

sad & sorry to have to state this, but if only the Dems were more concerned with National Security vs their political ambitions, the GWOT via the war in Iraq would have probably been shortened by at least a decade or two by now.. :(

  7. The demands in reality are from about 2/3rds of the American people.

“Congress needs to put the needs of those who put on the uniform ahead of their desire to spend more money.” Heaven forbid we even think of spending money on anybody else like, say, our children. The Vetran and defense fund should be no less important then the child medicare bill the president refuses to pass. The president should be concerned for all U.S. citizens, not just his soldiers.

Naomi Wolf just published a book about the identifiable steps towards fascism. One of the steps is to marginalize citizen groups. Whether GWB likes it or not, Moveon.org and Code Pink have a right to participate in our democracy and to speak out. Why should their representatives listen to them?

Oh yeah, in a fascist state the only thing that matter is the government.
