Looks like maybe a 2x4 under the towel to deflect water.

In fact the towel maintains the shape of the object when placed on the ground when they are done.

Perhaps they should practice how best to position themselves for their Islamofascist heroes to behead them. Their jihadi buddies do not have the control that a Samurai would have in this situation, so proper extension of the neck might mean they won't have to hack at it 3 or 4 times.
