Middle East human right's activist Nonie Darwish blasted the Far Left during an interview at the Young America's Foundation West Coast Leadership Conference in Santa Barbara this weekend.
Darwish says the Far Left should support Muslims and Arabs who are speaking against terrorism and fascism and speaking for the rights of women in the Muslim world. Nonie Darwish believes that the Far Left supports the forces of radicalism in the Middle East. She insists that they are supporting the wrong side:
Nonie also took a swipe at Barak Obama for his lack of understanding on Middle East issues. Darwish has serious doubts on Obama's ability to protect the country if he were to become president.
Ouch.
Obama's "let's bomb our allies(Pakistan) and retreat from our friends (Iraq) and speak with our enemies(Syria, Iran)," approach, should be a concern for all. The fact that he does not see the pro-democracy movement in Iran as a viable alternative to the current regime is just the type of shorty-sightedness we engaged in pre-9/11.
ReplyDeleteForces against human rights and democracy have hit back hard after the invasion of Iraq. They were scared watching the liberation of the Iraqi people. A peaceful, successful Iraq will be our best weapon against Iran. They know it. That's why they have been fighting against it.

The question has to be raised about how tight Obama and Ellison are. I don't credit Ellison with loyalty to the nation, only to his religion. And someone who attended a madrassa is toast in my political view.
