Nancy PelosiThe Pelosi-Reid Congress is shooting for a record high in gas prices to go with their record low in approval ratings.
April 26, 2006
Oil prices surged again on Wednesday to a new record, near $95 a barrel. The government also reported another unexpected drop in crude oil inventories.
Are you feeling the pinch yet from the Pelosi-Reid Congress?
...You will soon.
Crude Oil Prices
US Gas Prices
But, please don't expect the Pelosi-Reid Democratic Congress to responsibly develop the energy resources our country possesses.

The Pelosi-Reid Congress will not even allow American companies to drill for oil off the coast of Florida, even though the Chinese have set up 36 new oil wells there for the Castro Government WITHIN 50 MILES from the Florida Keys.
Instead, democrats will continue to fill the pockets of Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Nigeria, etc. as the US becomes more dependent on foreign oil due to their liberal policies.
Makes sense, huh?

ReplyDeleteMakes sense, huh?"
It makes perfect sense...the more foreign oil dependency, the more reason for the U.S. to NOT make waves overseas....even IF the republicans get control back.
Other than enjoying the implosion of the democrat-lead Congress, there is actually even better news out there vis-a-vis this issue. (I love it when I talk fwench.) Over thirty years ago, the lefty "experts" were in a sweaty panic, predicting the complete depletion of the world's oil supply by the turn of the century. There are now, after all these years of ever-increasing oil consumption, more proven oil reserves in the world than existed in the 70's. Oil is being found in places the evolutionists claimed it couldn't be. (But that's another happy subject.)
ReplyDeleteAs the OPEC nations use up their reserves, our untapped reserves, and the technology we possess to find more, will become even more valuable.
Sunday night, Number Two Son needed two quick articles for economics on OPEC.
ReplyDeleteOne of the articles mentioned prices reaching 100 per barrel. He asked if that could be seen as a good thing. I said, yes. At that price level, domestic production would increase, there would be increased utilization of shale oil, and coal-fired and nuclear electrical generation would increase.
Then I looked at his response. With higher OPEC prices, we could invest more in wind, solar and hydrogen cells. I asked where that had come from. He explained that those were the energy altenatives being advocated by his high school teachers.
High School teachers. They may enjoy what they're doing...but they weren't good enough to make it in any real career. Second raters teaching lefty energy policy to kids in a mental prison.
Meh.
Well I have to wonder about all the NIMBY nit-wits who whine about the price of gasoline and then seem to be totally against extraction of more fossil fuels...
ReplyDeleteTake a look at page 13 page of this DOE Report and there is something like the equivalent of 9000+ billion barrels of oil in this country...
There are new technologies coming online that could double U.S. oil reserves and even the known STRIPPER OIL WELLS could be set to producing more crude...
Maybe if we citizens elected smarter people to Congress and state offices we wouldn't be having these alledged shortages...
