Democrats support higher energy prices.
Over the past 30 years:
Democrats have blocked the development of new sources of petroleum.
Democrats have blocked drilling in ANWR.
Democrats have blocked drilling off the coast of Florida.
Democrats have blocked drilling off of the east coast.
Democrats have blocked drilling off of the west coast.
Democrats have blocked drilling off the Alaskan coast.
Democrats have blocked building oil refineries.
Democrats have blocked clean nuclear energy production.
Democrats have blocked clean coal production.
Over the past 30 years Democrats have effectively created "No Zones" for US energy exploration and development:

(Republican Senator Craig put together this map in 2006.)
As Americans pay more for gas than ever under this Congress--
Democrats continue to vote against energy development and exploration.
Well, Republicans have finally decided to communicate a few of these facts to the American people. The RNC just released a $3 million ad on energy this weekend.
The Politico and The Fix reported:
The 30-second ad, called “Balance,” is read by a narrator and focuses on energy at a time when gas prices are the top issue on voters’ minds.
The script: “Record gas prices, a climate in crisis. John McCain says solve it now. With a balanced plan — alternative energy, conservation, suspending the gas tax AND more production here at home. He’s pushing his own party to face climate change.
“But Barack Obama? For conservation, but he just says no to lower gas taxes. No to nuclear. No to more production. No new solutions. Barack Obama: Just the party line. The Republican National Committee is responsible for the content of this advertising.”
Not bad. It's a little soft-- That part about "pushing his own party to face climate change" is ridiculous.
But, it's a start.
While I prefer JM over BO, McCain has still a lot to answer for.
ReplyDeleteHe also needs to listen to us more, instead of backroom, closed door feel good sessions with immigrants.
Pay more in taxes so the government can PRETEND to control the weather. Just soft in the head muddled thinking. Why not try the truth, it's a hoax you fools, and we aren't buying.
ReplyDeleteMcAMNESTY still has a ways to go.
the agw crap is er um CRAP!
ReplyDeletebut let's face it: mccain is a centrist trying to use the issue to appear like this year's version of "compassionate conservative".
I will vote for McPain, but I wouldn't have to if the Presidents immigration reform bill hadn't been shot down.I'd much rather have mexicans doing manual labor than a carbon trading scam and Algore ass kissing. Thanks Malkin. enjoy your church of man-made global warming. And, by the way, pick me some vegetables on your way home from church.
ReplyDeletePeople are entitled to their opinion, but anyone with an ounce of sense should be able to clearly see that this country cannot take another 4 yrs. of Republican thinking, the only reason most people find all kinds of problems with Obama is because they just can't accept the idea of a black man being in charge of the US, in spite of that McCain is too old, & the amount of pressure that will come with that job will cause him multiple health problems, we must think sensibly, Obama is the best man for the job & yes his wife is an intelligent black woman who supports her man.well as i watch the news about oil crisis, i wouldn't know the first thing about all this hoopla as i am just a biker chick, and usually get everything for free but i found this poll thing of sorts at and it is interesting how they forming an unofficial debate/poll of sorts about this whole oil drilling thing. anywho, this is what it says in the headline:
ReplyDelete"Barack Obama and John McCain have made recent statements on US offshore oil drilling while on the US presidential campaign trail. Listen to..." read the whole story
High energy prices are only the beginning. Just wait, once Obambi is president you will pay for a liter of fuel as much as we pay here. Lowest price of the day in Austria: Diesel 1.3 Euro, Super 1.2 Euro. Per liter. Highest I've seen were almost 1.5 for Diesel and almost 1.4 for Super. Liters. Now keep in mind that one gallon is 4 liters. That'd be 5.6 Euro for a gallon of Diesel, which are ~8.7 USD for a gallon.
ReplyDeleteThe next thing that will come will be rising taxes. Middle class people, who have university education and nice jobs, will end up paying 50% taxes on their salary, plus taxes on everything they buy.
Take Austria. I pay 50% taxes on my salary (highest tax class, I make too much money). My father, just your average cop, pays 43% taxes on his salary. Plus we pay 10% taxes on a loaf of bread, and 20% on a bottle of coke. Everything is taxed. Everything.
Meanwhile, fuel prices are going up and up. Why? Because the state makes good money off the fuel taxes (which are at least 55% of the fuel price here). Not to mention that, when you buy gas, you pay... value added tax (once again).
Yet... our health insurances had a deficit of more than 400 million USD last year.
Now I wonder... where is all that money going? Oh yes... into the EU, into Africa (40 years and 500 billion USD later they still haven't achieved ANYTHING down there) or into "Palestine". And let's not forget the welfare state that we have here... Which means, I'm fincancing people who don't want to work while I have to work 6 months every year only for the finance ministry. Hooray!
Why am I even working? I've been working ever since I quit univerisity in 1996. Honestly, why work? I could just live off the state! If I don't work, I still get around 800 Euro, plus several additional payments, ending up at around almost 900 Euro (in Austria, mind you, but Germany's not much different, they waste 30% of their annual budget on "social" stuff). A cousin of mine, who's a saleswoman, makes less than that per month. So really, why work? The welfare state pays anyway!
Not to mention those measures against "global warming". And the salaries of politicians who do... nothing (literally, not kidding, whenever I see footage from the Austrian parliament I'm getting really angry, 50% of all the guys there are usually not present, and the rest is either reading newspapers, chatting or whatever else...)
Just wait, the US will become like that with the Democrats in charge.
You're being turned into EU 2.0
I'm so getting out of here. But first I have to amass a bit more money.

ReplyDeleteWhat a Racist you are for pointing out a person's color of skin.
That said, intolerance against elderly is actually going to be Obama's biggest problem however, I won't tell you why since you obviously haven't lived long enough to understand.

ReplyDeleteWhat's the matter your pimply-faced, oily-haired sons and daughters too busy shopping at the mall to be able to do manuel labor?
"People are entitled to their opinion, but anyone with an ounce of sense should be able to clearly see that this country cannot take another 4 yrs. of Republican thinking"...
ReplyDeleteClueless nozzel alert...
The country most surely can't take another four minutes of Dem control of the country...
Bret Stephens writing in the WSJ on July 1 had the following: Global Warming as Mass Neurosis
ReplyDeleteLast week marked the 20th anniversary of the mass hysteria phenomenon known as global warming. Much of the science has since been discredited. Now it's time for political scientists, theologians and psychiatrists to weigh in.
What, discredited? Thousands of scientists insist otherwise, none more noisily than NASA's Jim Hansen, who first banged the gong with his June 23, 1988, congressional testimony (delivered with all the modesty of "99% confidence").
But mother nature has opinions of her own. NASA now begrudgingly confirms that the hottest year on record in the continental 48 was not 1998, as previously believed, but 1934, and that six of the 10 hottest years since 1880 antedate 1954. Data from 3,000 scientific robots in the world's oceans show there has been slight cooling in the past five years, never mind that "80% to 90% of global warming involves heating up ocean waters," according to a report by NPR's Richard Harris.(there is more)
juandos, I'll break this to you gently, most of Dr. James Hansen's data hasn't been discredited because he won't put it out there to be peer reviewed. (Hansen the originator of the global warming scare). He's an employee of the federal government and he won't put publicly funded information out for the public. He should be fired and sued. Now!

ReplyDeleteI've been after NOAA since '89 on this waste of tax dollars that 'oxygen bandit" Hansen has been spewing out...
Look what spilled out of some fool's YAP: "Obama is the best man for the job & yes his wife is an intelligent black woman who supports her man"...
So when did a racist harpie all of a sudden get reclassified as an intelligent black woman?
Was it before or after the racist harpie hooked up with someone who pandered to law breaking parasites or was it after she gave out asinine advice regarding corporate America?
Yo juandos, you mean the legal pauper? The one with the exorbitant loans that they put their signature to so they could make a million or two? That intelligent broad? BTW, is she the equal to the other intelligent broad? The one who was with the man who single handedly turned down OBL?
