Senator Durbin supporting the troops:
The actions of American troops are akin to something that "must have happened by Nazis, Soviets in their Gulags, or some mad regime, Pol Pot or others, that had no concern for human beings."And, here is Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL) lashing out at Republicans for not supporting the troops in the Democratic Radio Address, July 5, 2008:
There will be a lot of talk about patriotism over this Fourth of July weekend and many senators will rightfully praise our military, he added. But true patriotism means honoring the men and women in uniform who defend our freedoms -- not just with words and flag lapel pins, but with actions befitting their great sacrifices.Humility is not one of Mr. Durbin's strengths.
Durbin, my Senator, is probably the most partisan politician in Washington today. He will do anything to prevent any solutions that do not advance his party's ambitions (and thus his own as the second ranking Democrat in the Senate) no matter how much harm is done to Americans.
ReplyDeleteThere are not many people in the world that can make my stomach turn as the speak, but within a couple of minutes of Durbin blaming everything on George Bush I really have to fight back the acid burps!
Not suprisingly he has a challenger who seems like A traditional Republican! Guy has ads running on talk radio already.

Sure Durbin, your Democrat Party piling the pork into bills designed just for our men and women serving in the military is the action which speaks louder than your word.
ReplyDeleteThe one commonality between 'selective thinking' and 'selective breeding' it that both are actions taken by evil people.
What's next?
ReplyDeleteTed Kennedy speaking about the evils of drunk driving?
Harry Reid going on about victory in Iraq?
Todays Democrats are a disgrace.
The Republicans aren't exactly floatin' my boat either lately
but the thought of an Obama Presidency gives me a migraine.
Its really a shame in a way that The Alien and Sedition Acts was repealed...
ReplyDelete"Sure Durbin, your Democrat Party piling the pork into bills designed just for our men and women serving in the military is the action which speaks louder than your word"...
Now this is amazingly funny anon for its total lack of meaning and substance...
Illinois lands plenty of pork
Senate Transportation/Treasury Appropriations subcommittee member Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) grabbed $36.7 million for Illinois pork projects, including $500,000 for the Looking for Lincoln Heritage Coalition in Springfield for the Looking for Lincoln economic development and tourism initiative. Sen. Durbin is looking for too many of your tax dollars.

ReplyDeleteI was agreeing with you about Durbin piling on the pork in all those bills budgeted for our men and women serving in the military; simply pointing out that Durbin's words did not fit his actions.
Sorry I wasn't clear

Now that I understand anon let me apologize to you...
