Teddy Kennedy Hospitalized

Teddy Kennedy is hospitalized with stroke symptoms.
CNN and the WaPo reported:

Sen. Edward Kennedy, a leading Democrat and patriarch of a prominent American political dynasty, has hospitalized in Boston, a spokesman for a hospital in Cape Cod said.

Kennedy, 76, was rushed from the Kennedy compound at Hyannisport, Massachusetts, to Cape Cod Hospital at 9 a.m. (1300 GMT), a hospital spokesman told Reuters.

He was then airlifted to a Boston hospital, the spokesman said.
Kennedy had surgery last October to repair a nearly complete blockage in a major neck artery.

UPDATE: FOX News has had an hour and a half of Republican after Democrat after Republican to praise Senator Kennedy.

UPDATE 2: Lurch just arrived at the hospital.

UPDATE 3: The AP is reporting that Senator Kennedy suffered a seizure and not a stroke.

UPDATE 4: The senator's office just reported that his condition is stable. A Kennedy associate said he suffered two seizures.

UPDATE 5: It's always politics with Democrats... Strategist Says Kennedy Crisis Helps Obama

The degenerate Teddy Kennedy's the teflon senator...the man has a blacker soul than most mob bosses and yet it seems that he somehow manages to keep his position, power and voice well in public. It's time for this man to fade away from the pages of history...hopefully taking the rest of his family with him; Americans need much less corrupt people than The Kennedys to look up to and if they want "ruling dynasties" these children of a bootlegger ought not be the paradigm. There are MUCH MUCH better people in the U.S.

At a time when all thoughts and prayers should be focused on Sen. Kennedy, leave it to CNN and Fredricka and co-anchor to worry about how this will affect Obama's campaign. Just another example of selfish, tacky, and insincere tactics employed by CNN and Obama's cult following. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess liberals don't have a monopoly on bad taste after all. I don't like Kennedy at all but I don't wish death upon him.

  7. Despite what CNN reports, Ted Kennedy did NOT hurt his back in a plane crash! Back in the '60s, he was drunk as a skunk, had a date in his car (Mary Jo Kopechne), and drove off a bridge. Mary Jo drowned. Teddy claimed he tried to help her but said he was in too much pain to save her. He was so drunk that he barely made it to shore. It's widely-accepted that his "name" is what prevented the law to charge him with vehicular manslaughter--unlike you and I (prison here we come). Also, it's no secret that the Democratic party leaders told him not to run for President -- that's why he's been in the senate for a zillion years. Bye-the-way, I'm a democrat and I hail from Mass. so no name calling. Another thing, how many of you know that he pulled the rug out from Hillary? He found a candidate, Obama, who good-ole Teddy can control. Make no mistake, Teddy is in charge of the democratic party and our votes were/are merely window dressing. Superdelegates be damned!

One Liberal down! Looks like he (TED) may have to answer for his drunk driving accident in the 60's. Maybe the SUBJECTS of MA will get there SECOND Ammendment rights BACK.

  9. I am no fan of Teddy Kennedy. Let's just say that I learned alot about the guy when I worked on his 1980 campaign.

But I do not wish a stroke on anyone.

  11. Sooner or later, a poor lifestyle will catch up to you. We'll have to wait and see if it was an acute stroke or just a wee one.

Well, look at it this way. This guy is drinking alcohol like camels down water after running across the Sahara... I'd love to see some test results concerning his liver, or its actual condition.

Hmmm... Absolut should do a commercial with Ted. "In an Absolut world - Drinking yourself stupid"

I hope the Senator is well cared for.

As much as I hate his politics, I do not wish harm upon him.

  16. Some of you are so disrespectful and downright un-Christian that I wonder if any of you are (I'm not), but regardless of what you think of his politics, you lack of compassion for someone is astounding.
