Exposed: The Democrat's Big Lie About ANWR (Video)

How many times in the last few weeks have you heard a Democrat ask why Republicans didn't drill in ANWR?... Weren't they in control of Congress for years?... If Republicans were so serious about drilling, why didn't they do it when they were in charge?

It is one the the media's best kept secrets that Democrats have blocked drilling for oil, not just in ANWR, but anywhere in the country for years. In fact, democrats have blocked most proven forms of energy production for years.
Over the past 30 years:

Democrats have blocked the development of new sources of petroleum.
Democrats have blocked drilling in ANWR.
Democrats have blocked drilling off the coast of Florida.
Democrats have blocked drilling off of the east coast.
Democrats have blocked drilling off of the west coast.
Democrats have blocked drilling off the Alaskan coast.
Democrats have blocked building oil refineries.
Democrats have blocked clean nuclear energy production.
Democrats have blocked clean coal production.
Tonight, Sean Hannity interviewed Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) about his trip to ANWR:

Representative Devin Nunes (R-CA) talked about his trip to ANWR including and exposed the Democrat's big lie:

"If the Arctic National Wildlife Area was a football field, the (area to be developed for oil) would be like a postage stamp on that football field... So it is totally outrageous what they say. What Americans forget too, is that the Republican Congress opened up ANWR every single year that we were in power. But, what happened was in the Senate, the democrats killed it every year in the senate."

"So, you had Clinton veto it in 1995, and then every single year after that you had the democrats kill it in the US Senate."
Last week author George Will explained why Democrats are against drilling:

I believe that on the Left in this country what they want is a manufactured scarcity so that government can have the rationale to ration which gives the government what the Left wants, an ever more minute supervision of our daily choices... There's a fear that someone somewhere may make a profit.
When the US is sitting on such vast energy reserves while it is experiencing an energy crisis, one can conclude that there are other forces at work here.

  1. George Will is a master! He hits the nail on the head in few words. Let's pray the American Voter has his say and forces the Dems to push for drilling now!

  2. Keep it up, Dems!

At the rate the Dems are going child molesters will have a more positive rating then a Democratic Senator or Congresscritter. It will also ensure that Barak Obama remains the junior Senator from Illinois.

There is not an energy crisis, there is a manipulation of energy prices. What we are seeing is a repeat of what Enron did to the price of electricity and natural gas, only this time the traders have targeted crude oil. I would only call it an energy crisis if there was a lack of supply, which there isn't.

  4. Hmmm, we still have problems even with all the exposure Obama's inanely neo-pinko stance is getting...

Just consider what sort of people are supporting him...

Here's yet another sad description of the people who are allowed to vote...

  5. So why the hell am I not seeing ads of some knowledgable person standing in a pro football field saying "Welcome to ANWR, or the equivalent of it here in this field". He then leans down and places a postage stamp on the 50 yard line, smaller even than the white line itself? "And THIS is what will be affected by drilling there!"

It's a VERY powerful image. Why am I not seeing it?

James Carville is right, and we need to start listening to him. You need to bludgeon your opponent's (ideas at LEAST), and do so EVERY SINGLE DAY, DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY.... because it you don't, your oppponent will do the same, and he will carry the day in the end.

Why am I not seeing this happen?

A couple of points to make here.

First, leftists believe that Senator Obama is going to win Alaska, or at the very least going to contend for the state. This is pure nonsense and will never happen, and is nothing more than the product of wishful thinking of the worst kind.

Second, environmentalists attempt to portray the area to be developed as all of ANWR, instead of the small sliver of coastal plain the zone represents.

Third, the environmentalists love to put up photo's of pristine mountains will a courtesy carribou or two in an effort to sway public opinion on drilling in ANWR. The reality is, these mountains and the places frequently depicted in the photos are not even in the drilling zone.

Fourth, 99.9 percent of the environmentalists opposed to drilling ANWR have never left Berkley or Cambridge to travel to Alaska, and therefore have little understanding that there are in fact millions of acres of "pristine" wilderness in Alaska, much of which has never seen the footprint of mankind.

Fifth, the environmentalist movement is largely a shield for anti-capitalistic marxists. Undoubtedly there are some good hearted people who care about the environment, but unfortunately those are the minority among them. For the rest, this is simply an attempt to forward a different agenda under the guise of concern and has little to do with actually caring about the environment.

  7. Yep, McCain ... when you look beneath the surface, we find that many of the enviro-funda-mentalists are akin to watermelons ...

... green on the outside ...

    ... red on the inside.
