Jailed Iranian Women Activists Begin Hunger Strike

Manda Zand-Ervin and Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi, mother and daughter, are Iranian activists and president and co-founder of Alliance of Iranian Women. This week the two teamed up to write about the daily struggles facing women under the brutal regime controlling Iran. The article is posted HERE at Wowowow.com.

Women are discriminated against by the regime in Iran but they are still allowed to be human shields at the nuke plants.

Just this week, 10 Iranian women's rights activists began a hunger strike from their cells in Evin Prison to protest their harsh treatment.
AKI reported:

Ten Iranian women activists imprisoned in the notorious Evin Prison have begun a hunger strike to protest against what they consider harsh treatment.

The women are aged from 17 to 70 and were arrested in the Iranian capital, Tehran, only a fortnight ago.

"These women, the youngest 17 years old and the oldest 70 years old, were arrested two weeks ago in one of Tehran's parks, Mellat Park, while they were collecting signatures calling for a revision of the laws that discriminate against women," women's rights' activist Mahboubeh Akrami told Adnkronos International (AKI) on Wednesday.
But, not everyone is convinced about the suffering in Iran...
The People's Cube sent a report that artist Tom Loughlin is going to set up an exhibit on Iran at both the DNC and RNC on Iran, glossing over the horrible human rights record of the regime.

Tom is probably not aware of the dozens of women who have been hung in public in the first five months of the Iranian year according to state-owned press reports.
HERE is Tom Loughlin's website where you can view his images and leave comments.

Maybe the muslims know something few of us are seemingly willing to recognise, brutality is the only thing muslims understand and respect so maybe that's why every "islamic" country in the entire world is brutal!

The Koran is the be-all and end-all of Islam.
When you read these passages from the Koran, please bear in mind the sacrosanct nature of every word in the Koran for all Moslems -- even if they have never read the Koran and even if they do not follow the Koran in their daily lives. The problem is that many Moslems will follow the injunctions of the Koran. Also bear in mind that the following passages from the Koran, among others, are taught and preached every day in every mosque in the world including the one in your neighborhood. For a much more extensive list of problematic verses from the Koran, see: http://www.bahai-faith.com/islam-uncensored.html
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    MOSLEM SUPREMACISM
1 --“ the (only) religion (acceptable) before God is Islam." (3:19)

2 -- " If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him." (3: 85)

3 -- “You are the noblest community ever raised up for mankind.” (3:110)

    ATTITUDE TOWARDS NON-MOSLEMS

4 -- The unbelievers among the people of the book and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures. (98.6).

5 -- Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve. (8.55)

6 -- The unbelievers are your inveterate enemy. (4:101)

7 -- Mohammed is God's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. (48:29).

8 -- It is unlawful for a believer to kill another believer, accidents excepted. (4:92)

9 -- Those who speak ill of God and his Apostle shall be cursed by God in this life and in the life to come. (33:57)

10 -- Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. (5:51)

    WAR ON NON-MOSLEMS

11 -- Make war on them until idolatry shall cease and God's religion shall reign supreme. (8:40)

12 -- Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme. (2:193)

13 -- The true believers fight for the cause of God, but the infidels fight for the devil. 14 -- Fight then against the friends of Satan. (4:76)

15 -- We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers. (3:150)

16 -- I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers. (8:12)

17 -- Fight for the sake of God those that fight against you, but do not attack them first. God does not love aggressors. Slay them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you. Idolatry is more grievous than bloodshed. (2:190-191)

18 -- When the sacred months are over, slay the idolaters wherever you find them. (9:5)

19 -- Fight against such of those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe in neither God nor the Last Day, ... until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued. (9:29)

20 -- Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. (9:73 and 66:9)

21 -- Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them. (9:123)

22 -- When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads. (47:4)

23 -- A prophet may not take captives until he has fought and triumphed in the land. (8:67)

24 -- Behold, God has bought of the believers their lives and their possessions, promising them Paradise in return, and so they fight in God’s cause, and slay and are slain. (9:111)

25 -- The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (5-33-34)

    RETALIATION

26 -- Believers, retaliation is decreed for you in bloodshed: a free man for a free man, a slave for a slave, and a female for a female. (2:178)

27 -- Let evil be rewarded with evil. (42:41)

28 -- If anyone attacks you, attack him as he attacked you. (2:194)

    WOMEN

29 -- Women are your fields: go, then, into your fields whence you please. (2:223)

30 -- Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other... Good women are obedient. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them, forsake them in beds apart, and beat them.” (4:34)

    CHRISTIANS AND JEWS

31 -- In blasphemy indeed are those that say that God is Christ the son of Mary. (5:17)

32 -- The Jews call Ezra a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. ..Allah’s curse be on them! (9:30)

    WHO IS A BELIEVER?

33 -- “Only those are believers who believe in Allah and his messenger.” (24:62)
