Al Gore Serves Endangered Fish at Daughter's Wedding

During a speech in Aspen, Colorado this week Al Gore said that the "human species in a race for its life"...

We're not alone.

There are hundreds of endangered plants and animals that are also in a race for survival.
Some are doing better than others.
Some are being served at dinner by the Gores.

Provocateur reports on the very rare but tasty toothfish served to the eco-friendly crowd at Al Gore's daughters wedding.

    The fish in question came from a farm, and was not caught illegally.

    However, I'd still expect a guy on an environmental high-horse to have a bit more discretion, menu-wise.

    Yes, because there's no difference between eating a fish caught on a fish farm where the breeding is controlled and specically monitored solely for the point of EATING IT, and a fish caught in the ocean where the breeding in not controlled and the species is over fished and is considered to be endangered.

    Good logic that.

    Gateway Pissant is again deliberately misleading his readers, and taking part in an intellectually dishonest hatchet job. No surprise there, huh?

    Fact the first: It wasn't Gore's daughter's wedding dinner. It was the rehearsal dinner -- hosted by the groom's family.

    Fact the second: "[T]he fish enjoyed by the Gores were not endangered or illegally caught. Rather, the restaurant later confirmed, they had come from one of the world's few well-managed, sustainable populations of toothfish, and caught and documented in compliance with Marine Stewardship Council regulations."

    There may be bloggers who are more stupid, and more dishonest, than Gateway Pissant. But at the moment, I can't think of any.
