Pentagon Blasts Hillary Clinton For Aiding the Enemies in Iraq!

The truth hurts... This response to Hillary today stung.
Actually, Under Secretary Eric S. Edelman could have sent a mass email to democrats with the same response.

Undersecretary of Defense Eric Edelman blasted Hillary Clinton for aiding the enemies of America in Iraq in a response published today.
The AP reported:

A copy of Edelman's response, dated July 16, was obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.

"Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda that the United States will abandon its allies in Iraq, much as we are perceived to have done in Vietnam, Lebanon and Somalia," Edelman wrote.

He added that "such talk understandably unnerves the very same Iraqi allies we are asking to assume enormous personal risks."

Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines called Edelman's answer "at once outrageous and dangerous," and said the senator would respond to his boss, Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

Clinton has privately and publicly pushed Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Peter Pace two months ago to begin drafting the plans for what she said will be a complicated withdrawal of troops, trucks and equipment.

"If we're not planning for it, it will be difficult to execute it in a safe and efficacious way," she said then.

The strong wording of the response is unusual, particularly for a missive to a member of the Senate committee with oversight of the Defense Department and its budget.
Of course... The same response could have been written to Bill Clinton today after his comments on Good Morning America.

More... It is not clear which democratic leaders chose to attend the meeting- but first reports suggest that many missed the briefing. About 200 lawmakers were invited to the Pentagon for a classified question-and-answer session on Thursday with Crocker and Gen. David Petraeus.

The US Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker told the members that the Al Qaeda is the main disrupter in Iraq.

It’s misleading to suggest that “the Pentagon told Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton that her questions about how the U.S. plans to eventually withdraw from Iraq boosts enemy propaganda” when actually it was Eric Edelman who said it. You think the whole Pentagon unanimously agrees with him?

Aside from that it’s a ridiculous thing to say. Who would have thought that “our enemies” who “hate our freedoms” are “boost[ed]” because the US is a democracy which tolerates (and supposedly encourages debate).

Is Edelman saying that we need to become an Islamic theocracy (no freedom of speech) to beat “our enemies”?

  3. The Democrats have never learned that with great freedom comes great responsibility.

They seem to think they can say anything they want to and not be held accountable.

[Is Edelman saying that we need to become an Islamic theocracy (no freedom of speech) to beat “our enemies”?]

    NO..

he's saying what lots of people have said & are saying.. she & her withrawal cohorts are emboldening the enemy by stating exactly what AQ predicted.. she & her cohorts have been & are boosting the enemies morale & getting our troops killed so that she & her cohorts can futher their withrawal goal (like a vicious cycle.. more talk, more emboldened, more killing, closer to goal.. more talk, more emboldened, more killing.. even closer to goal, etc)..

not to mention this little ipso facto that was surprisingly on the news tonight..

"the Iraqi people are gripped in fear"..

you may automatically think they're in fear of the usual suspects (AQ, Sectarian Militia's, Civil War)..

    BUT YOU WOULD BE WRONG!!

THEY ARE IN FEAR OF THE DEFEATOCRATS PULLING THE TROOPS OUT & LEAVING THEM TO FACE THE SLAUGHTER THAT IS BOUND TO OCCUR VIA THE USUAL SUSPECTS!!

AND GWB STATES FACTS & IS ACCUSED OF FEARMONGERING?? WHAT A FREAKING ASS BACKWARDS JOKE IF THERE EVER WAS ONE!!

F U Dems, your rejections & obstructionisms are one of the major factors this war has been so difficult.. words can kill & yours have gotten many a troop killed via emboldening the enemies of freedom..

damn you anti-liberationists, just damn you.. what goes around comes around, i for one can't wait for you get what's coming to you..

wow, try a little anger management, huh? Why are so many Republicans SO defensive when they express their political views? It is exactly this type of testosterone-driven anger and indignation that divides our country! Senator Clinton's views on Iraq are those of the MAJORITY. Like it or not, check the polls....Americans have had enough of the bloodshed and the mismanaged and misrepresented war.
