The father of a Marine killed in Iraq took the stand today in his invasion of privacy suit against the Westboro Baptist Church saying protesters carrying signs at his son’s burial made him sick to his stomach.

These jerks are a great example of what I mean when I talk about not defining a religion by the nutcases who say they are the faithful. There's nothing Christian about these loons who hijack God's name for their sick anti-military fetish and there's nothing Muslim about terrorism just because terrorists say it is. They are not orthodox Muslims but apostates, like these pricketers.

  2. Well, they certainly don't follow any form of Christianity I've ever heard referred to as Baptist. . .that's for sure. I may no longer be a practicing Christian myself, but I sure remember the basics!

I got into an argument one day with one of these weirdos. He kept going on and on about fear, and how God hates this, and God hates that.

I kept thinking to myself, "Isn't the whole new testament about how He's a God of love. . .not hate?"

I asked the guy "What do you think God would say about you telling people that he hates them? Doesn't that run against his Word?"

The fellow got flustered and changed the topic.

They quote the Bible as a source for all their arguments. They essentially use the same tactics on Christianity that al-Qaeda does with Islam.

How heartbreaking that a family had to be exposed to this protest while trying to bury their son.

What a bunch of losers this group is, who do they think, they are. What gives them the right to invade a family’s time of mourning? And to see that they have children along with them was heartbreaking.

    No respect for anyone.
