Indian Sikhs Upset With US Over Turban Pat-downs

Sword-brandishing Indian Sikhs rallied in New Delhi today. They were outraged with the new US screening procedures that allow airport employees to patdown turbans.

The United Sikh Coalition has written to Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff to protest the policy. The new rules, implemented Aug. 4, allow pat-downs of religious headgear at the screener's discretion.

Earlier this month a man smuggled a monkey on an airplane under his hat.

    Well the solution is simple and obvious - the SICK Sikhs can just stay there instead of sharing their body odor with the rest of us...

    Most folks don't know that the Sikhs are sworn enemies of Muslims. I think one of their beliefs is that they refuse to cut their hair until the world is rid of Muslims. I know that they have a strong warrior ethos.

    Given the choice, I'd want my daughter sitting next to a Sikh than a Democrat or Republican Senator.

    I hardly would believe a Sikh would put something in their turban, other than their hair, but just because you wear a turban doesn't make you a Sikh, just like just because you wear a burka doesn't make you a woman - better safe than sorry.

    Many Sikhs carry their lunches wrapped in their turbans. Its those knives they all carry that worry me.

    Juandos and ptg u guys are stupid as hell. Sikhs are not like u guys who would do something like that. Sikhs have always done good to mankinda and will keep on doing it. You better get your things straight before u meet a Sikh and i am pretty sure they will beat your ass if you say that in front of them. I personnally know alot of Sikhs and they are one of the best people you will ever meet in your life.

    First, SIKHS ARE NOT MUSLIMS! They are monotheists, but not of Abrahamic lineage, they follow Guru Nanak.
    Second, Sikhs pose no terrorism threat. Sikhs, for all of their well-earned reputation for being fierce warriors, are the most peaceful people you will ever meet.
    Did I mention THEY AREN'T FRIGGIN MUSLIMS!

    Oh, and they bathe daily and use deoderant. Get an education.
