OBAMA: "US Troops Are Just Air Raiding Villages & Killing Civilians"

This was no accident:

"Now you have narco drug lords who are helping to finance the Taliban, so we’ve got to get the job done there, and that requires us to have enough troops that we are not just air raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there."
That was Barak Obama speaking about our US soldiers and marines in Afghanistan.
Here's the video:

And with that- Barak Obama joins the rest of the military-hating democratic flock-

Durbin- Our soldiers run gulags like "Nazi death camps, the Soviet gulag and the "Killing Fields" of Pol Pot..."
Murtha- Our Marines killed civilians "in cold blood"
Kerry- Our soldiers "personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals..."
Kerry- Our soldiers are stupid and lazy.
etc.
For some reason I'm thinking most Americans don't want to think of themselves as innocent baby killers-
I don't.
But, at least Obama is honest (about his feelings towards the military).

Which brings up the age old question:
Why do democrats hate the military so much?

Glenn Reynolds has more.
Q and O is disgusted.

UPDATE: In case there's still a question in your mind about liberal media bias, the AP posts a disgraceful 'fact check' to go with Obama's disgraceful comments.
Captain's Quarters and Jim Geraghty don't have to work too hard to disqualify the AP's bizarre response.

I look forward to the AP rescuing a Republican for some appalling attack on the military.

and they call Bush "out of touch"??

man, what is it with these Dems & their love of failure.. seems to me they have a death wish.. which is fine with me, but not unlike your typical terror bomber, they're trying to take as many innocents with them as they blow themselves up.. *sigh*

"But, at least Obama is honest."

i beg to differ.. deliberately stating lies demeaning our troops in a time of war to garner anit-war support in an election cannot be misconstrued as being honest.. if the man were honest, he wouldn't have stated any such thing period!!

  4. Thank you BG.
    You are correct.

  5. I think, if pressed, he would possibly clarify to say that air raids are more prone to unintential collateral damage than are troops on the ground...and if we had more troops on the ground, we could do a better job with less loss of innocent life.
I think perhaps that's what he would have said if he was the least bit ready or competent for the office.

  6. Listen to the video.

Nowhere does Obama say that "US Troops Are Just Air Raiding Villages & Killing Civilians".

Yet that is what Jim Hoft, a lying pig turd of a non-man if ever there was one, quotes him as saying.

There is no lie that Jim Hoft will not tell.

    That bears repeating:

THERE IS NO LIE THAT JIM HOFT WILL NOT TELL.

    Keep lying, Jimbo.

It really is the only talent you have.

  7. Oh look at the Meathead trying to use the old liberal trick of playing word games with us. I guess it depends on the definition of "is." Big mouth Obama slipped yet again and revealed his true extreme liberalism. This idiotic socialist's campaign is on its last legs and we are in still in August of 2007. What an imbecile. But of course to fellow imbeciles like Meathead, Obama is just so dreamy and cool. Obama is so different from the rest of Washington. Meathead, you're an idiot. Your site sucks and so do you. JIM HOFT, JIM HOFT, JIM HOFT.

Jim Hoft quoted Obama as saying something he did not say. Jim Hoft is a liar.

If Petey Bondurant wants to call pointing out a lie a "word game", that only provides evidence of just how dishonest Petey Bondurant is willing to be.

Obama doen't know jack. The Taliban forces itself on the people of the lawless mts of Afghanistan. They cannot survive without the villages. The bad guys are in the villages all the time and when our guys get a bead on 'em and drop bombs on 'em, the unfortunate innocents that are near them will be blown up too. That is a fact of war. It is ugly, but that is the way it is.

embed on the front in Iraq vs politician in front of a mike on a lawn

    excerpt:

[There may be little progress on political goals crafted in America, to meet American concerns, by politicians who have a cushion of 200 years of democracy. Washington might as well be on the moon. Iraqis don’t respond well to rules imposed from outside their acknowledged authorities, though I have many times seen Iraqi Police and Army of all ranks responding very well to American Marines and soldiers who they have come to respect, and in many cases actually admire and try to emulate. Our military has increasing moral authority in Iraq, but the same cannot be said for our government at home. In fact, it’s in moral deficit because many Iraqis are increasingly frightened we will abandon them to genocide. The Iraqis I speak with couldn’t care less what is said from Washington but large numbers of them pay close attention to what some Marine Gunny says, or what American battalion commanders all over Iraq say. Some of our commanders could probably run for local offices in Iraq, and win. To say there has been no political progress in Iraq in 2007 is patently absurd, completely wrong and dangerously dismissive of the significant changes and improvements happening all across Iraq. Whether or not Americans are seeing it on the nightly news or reading it in their local papers, Iraqis are actively writing their children’s history.]

  16. Last night we were watching Nightline and a friend asked why they were rerunning that story on Tesla cars for the third time.

I told him that Nightline is like a Canary in the Democratic party's coal mine. Right now they know there is no way they can spin any thing to make it look good for the Democrats and their LLL allies without them looking like they are broadcasting pure propaganda. So they run nice little stories about the Tesla and the guy who makes microscopic sculptures. They did do their Rove hit piece first but even for the moderately informed it was pure Democrat propaganda. Too bad for them they won't have Karl to kick around anymore. I should send Terry Moran a box of Kleenex so he can dry his tears.

They can't talk about how "badly" the war is going because it isn't. If it were they would be running hour long Nightline's with full discussion panels, liveshots-the works.

They can not talk about all the wonderful things the Congress under Pelosi and the Senate under Reid have done. There is nothing to discuss because they know that the "moderate" Democrats in the Congress and Senate are about to break ranks with the House and Senate leadership.

They can not hype any of the Democratic party's Presidential candidates because they know that if the American public gets an idea of what their policies and goals truly are none of them will have the remotest chance of winning. There just isn't enough lipstick in the world to gussy up that pig pen.

They can not talk about all these "poor immigrants who risked their lives to come here for jobs Americans won't do". They can't because there are too many local stories about illegal aliens murdering people execution style in Newark and murdering, robbing, kidnapping, molesting children and killing people by driving while drunk all across the country.

They can't talk about "global warming" because the only ones still buying that one are the true believers in Rev. Gore's new religion. They can run nice stories about the Tesla, though.

They can not talk about how Islam is a "religion of peace" and how "oppressed" and "misunderstood" Moslems are.

They will not talk about things like the dirty bomb scare in Manhattan or those nice "college students" with bombs and diving equipment because people might be reminded of the fact that the Islamists are at war with the west. They have done their best to bury 9/11 by not talking about it and burning the video of that day and any mention of the above might just remind people of it.

  17. Amazing.

"bg" accurately quotes what Obama said in the video... and turns out to be too mind-numbingly, jaw-droppingly STOOOOOPID to notice that, in the title of this post, Jim Hoft deliberately misquotes what Obama said.

There can be no clearer proof that Hoft is a lying pukestain... but there's always a bigger pukestain like "bg" willing to defend such lies.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Not quite sure I get this. meatbrain is saying that this Jim Hoft is an Obama look-alike? Since anyone watching the tape can clearly see and hear Obama speaking.

I believe elsewhere it is also pointed out that his own press people confirmed and repeated what he said.

    note the HUGE discrepancy.. :D

    title of GP post:

OBAMA: "US Troops Are Just Air
    Raiding Villages & Killing Civilians"

    Obama in video:

"we’ve got to get the job done there, and that requires us to have enough troops that we are not just air raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there."

hence.. according to those who live
in meatbrains matrix: JIM LIED!! :D

yes, it's an illogical obsession, one that not only meatbrain lives & breathes, but persists everyone else believes as s/he/it does else they be LIARS too.. meatbrain is not only one sick puppy, but evidentally proud of it as well.. *sigh*

  22. You gotta love idiotic liberals like Meathead. They are so predictable. Look at the Meathead with his pathetic attempt to defend Barrack I'm gonna get you Pakistan Obama. Anybody with one ounce of common sense would realize Obama just smeared the American military. Every news outfit who bothered to report Obama's gaffe (of course CNN did not as far as I know) criticized the glorified teacher. Poor Meathead. His socialist hero just keeps making a fool of himself, much like the Meathead himself. But just like the Meathead, Obama will continue to put his foot in his mouth. Keep up the great work Jim....excellent job as usual.

  23. British Criticize Air Attacks in Afghan Region
    By CARLOTTA GALL
    Published: August 9, 2007
    NY Times

    (excerpts)

SANGIN, Afghanistan — A senior British commander in southern Afghanistan said in recent weeks that he had asked that American Special Forces leave his area of operations because the high level of civilian casualties they had caused was making it difficult to win over local people.

In just two cases, airstrikes killed 31 nomads west of Kandahar in November last year and another 57 villagers, half of them women and children, in western Afghanistan in April. In both cases, United States Special Forces were responsible for calling in the airstrikes.

  24. "I went to meatbrain's site. He blocks you if you challenge him."

Terry Gain is lying, of course. Some of the comments he left last week were flagged as spam; however, once I found them, they were posted intact.

Gain has decided to lie rather than conduct an honest debate. In that, he shares a philosophy with Jim Hoft.

    ReplyDelete
  25. "note the HUGE discrepancy"

"bg" is still too STOOOOOOOOOOPID to understand that the discrepancy is there, and that Jim Hoft put it there deliberately in order to smear Obama.

"bg" is also too STOOOOOOOOOOPID to realize that this tactic is one that Jim Hoft has used before. Lying comes naturally to Hoft -- it is, in fact, his one and only talent.

    ReplyDelete
  26. mushbrains apparently believes that repeating his lie often enough might just make it become true.

I could never vote for anyone who thinks they can turn a noun into a verb by adding "ing" to it.

Made up words like "airraiding" are meaningless and ignorant.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Obama is such a military illiterate and just plain idiot. The U.S. does not do "air raiding villages" -- it sounds like something he picked up from an old WWII movie. Anything the U.S. does in or near a village or known location of civilians is going to be part of close air support (i.e. a targeted air strike). The USAF and USMC have career fields of tactical air controllers just for this case who go with ground troops just for this job. Even ODA teams (12 man SF team) usually have one with them.

    ReplyDelete
  32. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  33. First, air raiding is a word. Raid is a verb, and raiding is the present progressive. Air raiding is just a specific type of raiding. Take an English class.
Second, most college students and those with higher level educations are democrats, so they're not dumb.
Third, the AP doesn't lie about quotes, since they're quotes:

Defense Secretary Robert Gates recently apologized for deaths resulting from coalition air strikes, saying in a September 17 statement: "I offer all Afghans my sincere condolences and personal regrets for the recent loss of innocent life as a result of coalition air strikes. While no military has ever done more to prevent civilian casualties, it is clear that we have to work even harder. I have asked for a detailed briefing this afternoon about our close air support as well as our intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations."

Obama was referring to this statement, in which the secretary of defense admits that some miscalculations were made and some civilians were killed. Obama did not make any personal attacks on the soldiers. It's simply what happened (just like in Vietnam, by the way, when we were having trouble distinguishing between civilians and Viet Kong and we made some mistakes there). Having more troops would make the job easier, and we would perhaps make fewer errors.
Fourth, blindly spewing information that you heard from Hannity on Fox News without researching it yourself is dangerous to the country. You're going to end up making decisions based on myopic propaganda and die-hard party loyalty, not on the issues.
And by the way, personal attacks on IQ, patriotism, or love of soldiers that are giving up their lives for us is juvenile. Convince me that the republican ticket is better based on how they're going to make this country better, not by slinging crap at the other side.

    ReplyDelete
  34. p.s. - is strategery a real word? because you probably voted for the man who has probably made the most mistakes when it comes to made-up words, while you go on talking about someone who doesn't actually do that as if he's stupid
