Interpol confirmed documents today showing that US Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.) (pictured), a leading opponent of the Colombia free-trade deal has been working with a go-between, who has been offering the FARC terrorists help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.
Colombia is America's closest ally in South America.
Interpol disclosed today that there was no evidence that the computers seized from dead FARC leader Raul Reyes were tampered with.
The AP and The Real Cuba reported:
Interpol said Thursday it found no evidence of tampering in computers Colombia says it seized from a slain leftist rebel. The finding discredits Venezuelan assertions that the files are bogus and gives Colombia the international backing it sought. Here is a running list of the infomation discovered by Colombian investigators on the FARC terror leader's computers:
The forensic study by the France-based international police agency will increase pressure on Venezuela's socialist president, Hugo Chavez, to explain documents indicating his government was financing and arming the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
Colombia said its commandos recovered the three Toshiba Satellite laptop computers, two external hard drives and three USB memory sticks after destroying a rebel camp across the border in Ecuador. FARC foreign minister Raul Reyes and 24 others were killed in the March 1 raid.

The news today confirmed all of the above information.
The information also confirms that US Democrats were secretly reaching out to the FARC terrorists.
One document explained:
The 16 documents were published Sunday by the news magazine Semana. They also detail previously unknown relationships held or sought by Latin America's oldest and most potent rebel force, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC.Previously:
Another discusses an apparent effort by U.S. Democrats to have celebrated novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez mediate talks with the insurgents — possibly with former President Clinton's involvement.
There is no evidence the FARC ever obtained surface-to-air missiles, however. Attempts to reach Clinton and Garcia Marquez were unsuccessful.

UPDATE: Rep. McGovern led a coup against the Colombian Free Trade Agreement.
The American reported:
Tellingly, the planning of the coup against the fast-track process came, not from the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over trade, but rather from the Rules Committee. According to reporters Patrick O’Connor and Martin Kady of The Politico, Rules Committee chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-NY) and Rep. James McGovern (D-MA) had discussed the option of stripping time requirements from the fast-track process since January.Hat Tip Quotecritter
** Monica Showalter has more on the 37,872 files that were discovered on the FARC computers.
Nanccccyyyyyyy...you got some 'splainin' to do!
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see if Columbia files a complaint in the ICC about the Democrats activities and who will be named on the indictment.
ReplyDeleteIf they do it will be interesting to watch the reaction of the Democrats and their LLL supporters. They are the ones who were so eager to place the US under the jurisdiction of the ICC.
Representatives Jim McGovern (D-MA) and Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) circulated a "Dear Colleague" letter in response to attacks on labor and human rights activists and statements by presidential advisor José Obdulio Gaviria saying that organizers of the March 6 protests were FARC guerrillas. FOR and others issued action alerts, and nationwide grassroots efforts resulted in 63 members signing the letter which was sent to Colombian President Alvaro Uribe on April 14 to express "grave concern regarding threats and attacks against human rights defenders preceding and following the March 6, 2008 nationwide rally against paramilitary and other forms of violence.

ReplyDeleteTellingly, the planning of the coup against the fast-track process came, not from the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over trade, but rather from the Rules Committee. According to reporters Patrick O’Connor and Martin Kady of The Politico, Rules Committee chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-NY) and Rep. James McGovern (D-MA) had discussed the option of stripping time requirements from the fast-track process since January. When the administration signaled that it would forward the agreement even without a sign-off by congressional Democratic leaders, Slaughter and McGovern seized the opportunity. On Tuesday, April 8, the president formally sent up the agreement and supporting documents; that same evening, Slaughter and McGovern presented the deadline-stripping plan to Speaker Pelosi, who, after meeting with other members of her leadership team, the next day backed the changes in a larger Democratic caucus. And on Thursday, as noted above, the House Democratic majority rammed through the amendments to House rules, effectively gutting the fast-track process for the Colombia FTA.

ReplyDeleteCan we question the Democrats' patriotism now?
ReplyDeleteQuoteCritter,
ReplyDeletethanks for that tip.
None of this should be surprising regarding FARC, Chavez, Libya, Iran. Dems supporting communist FARC? Dems meeting with Syria? With Hamas?
Pattern of appeasement?
Nah, Pelosi is right. Obama is right. They're not appeasers.
They're outright supporters of thugs, mafia, communist, tyrants.
No wonder they're upset. Call'em what they truth are: sympathizers and komrades.

ReplyDeletei had a hard time posting this, only took about an hour or so.. gah!!
Clinton?? well, who knows, maybe it was about something we don't know about as yet, but why in the world would Clinton assure FARC of an Obama Presidency??
i also believe you had a post which named one or two of the Democrat "gringos" who either were, or may have been involved with the Obama FARC issue, but there's just to much to search through (maybe later)..

markj,
ReplyDeletelol... you'd think that would be an easy answer, but not in todays MSM run America by GE, Ted Turner, Disney, Time Warner, NYT, LAT oh and Soros.
I don't only question their patriotism. I question their sanity. Todays Dem is not satisfied with defeating the other party. They have to defeat America as well at home and around the world.
Liberals actively undermining DEMOCRATIC governments! How typical of these lying, traitorous scum. Baghdad jim mcdermott and others were just the tip of the unpatriotic dnc iceberg. Words cannot express my utter contempt for the democrat party traitors.
ReplyDeleteColor me fuming!!
BG,
ReplyDeleteClinton appears to be a separate issue for FARC in a different document.
This is going to be an interesting fall as all of this unravels for the first time like never before. So much information on all the left contacts with communist and terrorist.
They have hollywood. But watch out because tools are cheap enough now to fight back against their leftcoast propaganda machine.
Sorry to hear about your trouble posting BG. A suggestion may be to clear your cookies and temporary file folders.

excerpt:
[So, there was a plan, or at least a suggested plan, to hook up Andropov and other senior apparatchiks with the American media, where they could better present their message and make their case. Specifically, the names of Walter Cronkite and Barbara Walters are mentioned in the document. Also, Kennedy himself would travel to Moscow to meet with the dictator.]
top dogs ie: Kennedy, Kerry, Murtha, Reid, Pelosi, etc.. are all mangey traitors!!

ReplyDeletegreat posts everyone..
btw, you're right.. FARC is
just the tip of the iceberg..
another excerpt:
[FP: All of this is in sync with David Horowitz’s and Ben Johnson’s new book, Party of Defeat, isn’t it? As the book demonstrates, many Democrats are engaging in willful sabotage in terms of our security vis-à-vis Islamo-Fascism today. And as the Kennedy-KGB romance indicates, a good portion of Democrats have always had a problem in reaching out to our enemies, rather than protecting our national security. Your thoughts?
Kengor: Obviously, as you know and suggest, this does not apply to all Democrats, needless to say. But there are many liberal Democrats who were dupes during the Cold War and now are assuming that role once again in the War on Terror. President Carter comes to mind, as does John Kerry, as does Ted Kennedy, to name only a few. When I read President Carter’s recent thoughts on Hamas, it transported me back to 1977 and his stunning statements on the Iranian revolution, or to 1979 and his remarks on the Soviets and Afghanistan. Many of these liberals and their supporters on the left literally see the conservative Republican in the Oval Office as a greater threat to the world than the insane dictators overseas that the likes of Reagan and George W. Bush were/are trying to stop. That’s not an exaggeration. Just ask them.]
the Dems sure had me fooled until Bush came along.. i thank God for opening my eyes, not to mention the internet & talk radio..

Rep. Jan Schakowsky is/was married to Robert Creamer (probably the one who blogs on HuffPo) and who was jailed in Illlinois for kiting checks and failing to collect workers' tax deductions from the Lefty door-to-door begging operation (Illinois Public Action) he ran for years.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who had the misfortune to 'solicit' for this group back in the late '80s or so. It was typical. You were given a goal of an amount of money to collect and if you didn't get it you made very little or no money (you evidently got paid each day) and quite a bit if you collected above your quota. The ones who quickly learned to lie to people collected the most. Those who, like my friend, were dedicated Lefty do-gooders quickly dropped out or got pushed out.
Schakowsky has no more shame than her rotten husband.
Considering that undermining Uribe was very harmful to interests of the US (let alone how harmful it was to Colombians), can this be called treason and can guilty terrorists supporters land behind bars?
ReplyDeleteOr will this just blow off, while these bastards will find some regime, or other random-ppl-capturing terrorist group to pander?
So how long until McGovern resigns, after being tied to a group of murderous narco-terrorists? Oh, he's a Democrat? It'll never happen.
ReplyDeleteGreat work as always, one small quibble:
ReplyDeleteSh/be "Democrat" not "Democratic", I don't care what the stylebooks say.
Thanks for the your persistence on this topic.
BG,
ReplyDeleteYep, aware of Kennedy's treasonous actions in his letter to old Soviet Union.
I hope it all comes out this fall as part of devious patterns by Democrat leaders to undercut America. To show their far left, socialist "white greed" for power.
Kennedy, as are most leaders today, born into spoiled positions of elitist around the world. They tend to think that nation states are a barrier for evil, not good.
Their old connections thru Europe elitist show their disdain for the common people, mere minions standing in their way of a one world government utopia. Thus Kennedy's letter is a reflection of his beliefs. That of world rule by men like him who know better than us how to run the world. That if they could just get rid of the pesky majority of people and sit down together, they'd see eye to eye on most issues. He doesn't care of even think of the masses dead under Stalin or Lenin.
Today, the EU is nothing but a power grab by elitist which strips the right of any single nation. The EU is an unelected body of elites that have been fighting for such power since WWII over the masses. Whatever the economic realities were are now put aside for political hegemony by EU. Therefore people in Britain today must bow down to a French EU or Spanish EU representative even if the Brit never wanted to be part of this unholy union.
This is not just a democrat issue. Although, they are far and ahead a different breed on social policy and world domination by the elite.
Nation states are viewed by many as antiquated and need to be replaced. Thus much of Democrat/Republican leaders are on the same page in immigration issues.
They see us all as one world, or going towards one world solutions. This is masked in peace initiatives or economic initiatives.
It explains much why Kennedy can reach out to one of our sworn enemies at the time, a brutal Soviet regime to ask for help in his run for Presidency. He never viewed them as an enemy politically in the long term worldview he clings to. Which is ultimately Marxist.
my two cents, sorry if to long.
Scumbags, all. The GOP might disgust and annoy me, but the Democratic party is going to destroy us. I won't even vote for a Democratic dog catcher.
